Traespiral
Traespiral is the technical term for the shape of a Slinky, a Swedish word meaning traespiral, also sleek or sinuous. The toy was invented in 1943 by Richard James, a naval engineer who was investigating tension springs. When it fell to the floor and kept moving, an idea developed.
