I'm a retired pulmonary and critical care physician now practicing visual arts and music. Photography has been my basis for over 70 years and continues to influence my art. I believe that in order to portray visual images it is important to carefully inspect and appreciate your surroundings no matter where that exists. I could spend hours or years photographing my back yard without running out of fresh material. Keen observation is practiced over time, and time is the main control over our existence. In recent years time has become a major factor and theme in many of my works.
